First a little background

The vision for a mime ministry was actually given to James Douglas in January 2000.  However, in that season he didn't heed the call assuming that due to lack of professional training there is no way he could lead a mime ministry.

God's Grace eased James into the process of mime through assisting with presentations in the dance and drama ministry and in 2002, he began to accept the fact that God wasn't calling the qualified, but qualifying the called.

In September of 2002 James stepped out on faith and asked the Pastor of Worship (then Willis Hickerson) about trying to put together a mime presentation to see if it would be viable to start a ministry.  He gave the ok and fellow Officers In Training (O.I.T.); Tim Bull, David Green and Ty Jones helped to put together a presentation off of the song 911 by Kirk Franklin and T. D. Jakes. It was clear that this was the start of something big.  A proposal was presented to Bishop Townsend and in March of 2003 during the church anniversary the ministry was officially birthed with the presentation of God's Favor (Donald Lawrence) by other OITs; Donna Jones, Fern Chandler, Ron Smith and Joann Douglas.

8 years later...the ministry is still going strong!
